Most schools:

• Prioritise exam coverage
• Separate subjects into silos

GCUASc:

• Teaches CAPS in full, through integrated STEM/STEAM learning
• Replaces rote work with concept mastery and application
• Uses IEB cognitive depth without abandoning CAPS

Difference:

Children understand before they memorise.

CAPS remains the statutory curriculum.
STEM/STEAM and IEB are delivery and enrichment frameworks, not replacements.

Using the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) pedagogical approach involves shifting focus from rote memorization to deep conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and the application of knowledge to new, unfamiliar situations.
